Trinity Tables

Trinity Tables is a parish-wide dinner/fellowship program modeled after groups called “Foyer Groups,” “Dinners for Eight,” and other names in other parishes—each of these is unique..  The primary objective is to get parishioners, potential parishioners and guests together in small groups for informal meals.
At Trinity Tables there is a host and/or hostess who organize the meal, which can be a formal or informal sit-down dinner, a picnic, or anything else.  The host decides the date and time (usually in consultation with the others) and provides the main dish and coordinates the other participants, who bring appetizers, salads, desserts, beverages, etc.  In other parishes Sunday nights have frequently been found a good time.
To participate, simply sign up on the sheets posted in the upper parish hall or call the parish office and tell Melanie Lay you’d like to be a part.  While it is not essential to serve as a host in order to be a part of Trinity Tables, it is hoped that everyone will want to serve as host at some point.
Dinners are usually held once monthly, with different hosts—and different guests—at each meeting.  In this way each of us gets to dine with and meet a large variety of parishioners.  With our three services each Sunday it is sometimes very difficult to get to know more than a mere handful of our parishioners, and programs such as this have been very successful in other parishes.  When the possibility of beginning this programs has been discussed with Trinity parishioners the immediate response from all has been “that was a LOT of fun when we did it before!”
Let us know ASAP that you’d like to participate so that we can get things started, hopefully in September.
