Book Discussion Group
Members of the parisher gather monthly to discuss chosen books.
The discussions are fun. We serve tea and generally meet at 7:30pm in the Living Room or Library.
All of the selected books have been extremely well reviewed in the press. Books selected are often out in paperback and are available at your local library. We welcome books suggestions for our reading. All members of the parish are invited to join us. For more infromation please call the Parish Office – 860-482-6027

Descent into Hell, by Charles Williams. This novel, written by a British contemporary of C.S.Lewis, takes place in the English countryside in 1937. It centers around the performances of a summer theatrical group. We felt that this author was someone we needed to know better, as he is a reknown Anglican. Get your theology in the form of fiction!
Tuesday, November 15
7:30pm Living Room
The Summer Guest by Justin Cronin. This novel takes place in the Northern Maine wilderness, ”...The novel’s recognition of human frailty and nobility rings true, as does its faithful re-creation of a place outside the storms of history.” Publishers Weekly
